Marston Baines

The Marston Baines books were aimed at the late teenage to young adult market. They are set in a variety of real locations throughout Europe and reflect the changes in the author's own travel patterns. Written during the sixties and seventies, the stories deal with more grown up topical issues such as drug addiction, satanism and diamond smuggling. The James Bond films seem to have influenced these stories, though they do not feature sex or gadgets.
