Forthcoming Events

Our informal events usually involve visiting locations that feature in Malcolm Saville's books. We sometimes have talks and a chance to learn more about the books, the locations and other points of interest. Some of our events involve walks and/or coach trips and/or guided tours of places of interest from the books. Somehow we always manage to find somewhere convivial for refreshment and continued conversation!

Although places on most of our events must be booked by paid up Society members, we always welcome family and friends, many of whom join us regularly for our events, which cater for varying interests and capabilities - details are provided for individual events. 

Some events, such as our informal lunches (which are arranged at various locations around the UK), are also open to members of our Facebook group -Not just the Lone Pine Club (for ALL Malcolm Saville fans)

Members are invited to forward any photos taken at Society events to eventphotos@witchend.com so that other Society members can enjoy them when we review the year at the next Annual Gathering.

The Society welcomes suggestions from members for future events. Please use the Contact page to suggest a location and/or an activity.

Members of the Society take photographs of its activities during Society events. Some of these photographs may appear on the Society website, on the private Facebook page ‘Not just the Lone Pine Club (for all Malcolm Saville Fans)’, in future editions of Acksherley! and/or may be projected as part of the Annual Gathering’s ‘Review of the Year’ and other Society events. These are normally group shots. By taking part in our events, you are accepting that your image may be used for these purposes but your name will not be included without your consent (except possibly as part of a photo caption for the 'Annual Review of the Year' powerpoint presentation).

The Society encourages members to use the private Facebook group but takes no responsibility for photographs posted by members on other social media pages.
