Amsterdam
Following in the footsteps of the Buckinghams and Charles Renislau, a small group of members travelled independently to Amsterdam to explore the location for Diamond in the Sky.
This was the Society’s second visit. Various explorations took place over the weekend which members could choose whether or not to join in on. These included a canal trip in a covered barge; visits to The Church in the Attic spread across the attics of three town houses, Anne Frank’s House and the Concertgebouw; a tour led by our local Dutch member; a ferry to the North Shore; and an afternoon of windmills and seeing Dutch life in the past at Zaanse Schans. A very enjoyable weekend where, as usual, members not only enjoyed exploring a Saville site but also the excellent company and good dining out.
