Blakeney Weekend

Over thirty members visited Blakeney in early June to explore some of the locations in Redshank's Warning.

This was the first book about the Jillies and was published 60 years ago. Despite the Saturday rain, we walked to Cley and back and visited Blakeney Church. We climbed both church towers, including the smaller one which featured in 'Redshank's Warning' and which is rarely open to the public.

On the Sunday, when the weather had improved, we enjoyed a boat trip to Blakeney Point, including seeing the seals as they lazed in the sunshine and spotting a number of birds.
