Saville Café Speaker Line Up

MALCOLM SAVILLE ONLINE CAFÉ LINE UP
The Saville Online Café was launched at the AGM in Torquay. It is a new initiative which will take place every couple of months via Zoom to promote & encourage the literary side of the Malcolm Saville Society.
Taking place over a lunchtime hour, on each occasion there will be a ‘guest speaker’ who will give a short presentation (20 minutes approximately) on a Saville-related topic, with the opportunity for everyone then to ask questions and discuss what has been shared in an informal way.
We already have three speakers lined up, with an interesting mix of topics:
- May 17th 11.30 – 12.30: Mark O’Hanlon, with a presentation on ‘Malcolm Saville, Shropshire and a 1937 Mystery Agenda’
- July – date & time to be confirmed: Mike McGarry, with a presentation on ‘Radio and TV serialisations, and films made from Saville’s books, and Saville’s own media career.’
- September – date & time to be confirmed: Carys Woodley, with a presentation on ‘Mental health in Saville books’.
We are looking for speakers for future online cafes, so if you have something interesting you would like to share and discuss with other Saville fans, please email mystery@witchend.com.
Further details of the first event, led by Mark O’Hanlon, can be found on the ‘Events’ page of the website at:
