Ambermere Treasure Weekend

Over 30 members enjoyed a varied weekend in and around Guildford. Three interesting walks were on offer.

One explored the area near Newlands Corner where Agatha Christie disappeared in 1926, while on Saturday there was a guided walk around Guildford and a longer walk was enjoyed on Sunday around the environs of Witley Park, which is thought to be the area that The Ambermere Treasure was set.

For many the highlight of the weekend was the unveiling of the Blue Plaque on Toft House, the home of Malcolm Saville in the 1950's.
