2025 Annual Gathering and AGM

82 Saville Society members spent a glorious Annual Gathering weekend in Devon from 4-6 April 2025, based at The Livermead House Hotel, in Torquay. 

We had selected this venue as it is close to the Devon locations of two Lone Pine books: Saucers over the Moor (1955) and Where's my Girl (1972). Malcolm Saville's Come to Devon (1969) also encourages us to visit this part of the country. Society members had voted for Devon at the 2023 Gathering. 

From set up on Friday lunchtime to farewells on Monday morning we packed in the Agatha Christie Trail, Torre Abbey, Brixham, Plymouth, Princetown, two walks on Dartmoor (including to King's Holt, the reservoir and the mysterious Wistman's Wood), and Kent's Cavern, plus free time for people's own explorations.
